U.S. Department of Labor Rescinds the Industry-Recognized Apprenticeship Program

The US Dept. of Labor has announced a final rule to rescind the Industry-Recognized Apprenticeship Program. Resources will now be directed toward Registered Apprenticeships to expand access to good paying jobs and create reliable pathways to the middle class. From the DOL News Release "the department determined EO 13801 had created a duplicative, lower-quality system that was not in the best interest of workers and industries". 2023 Winter/Spring Foreman Development Series

Local #611 and the JATC are pleased to announce the Albuquerque Foreman Development Series Fall 2022 / 2023 class schedule; These classes will be held at the Albuquerque JATC, 4501 Montbel Place NE. The first 3 hour class will start promptly at 8:00 am. There will be a one hour lunch break and the second class will start at 12:00 pm. You can sign up for one or both classes. IBEW Vice President Steve Speer retiring January 1, 2023

IBEW Vice President Steve Speer is set to retire January 1st, 2023. International Representative,  Chris Wagner will fulfill the unexpired portion of his term in office.  Speer joined the IBEW 48 years ago as an apprentice wireman. UNM Sponsorship Game!!

IBEW 611 is excited to announce the UNM Sponsorship Game at THE PIT! Tickets must be picked up at the IBEW 611 Hall on Saturday, January 14th from 8:00 - 10:00 am! We’ll have a Brotherhood Reception starting at 5:30-8:30 before the game on January 20th. We have a limited amount of tickets, two tickets per member. First come, first serve.
